After 5 years, the Thomas DNA web site has taken a new address (www.thomasdna.org) and appearance.   The site is now based on ASP .NET 2.0 (for the computer geeks), which provides the administrator and webmaster automated support in updating the participant profiles, pedigrees, and test results.   Hopefully this will result in more timely updates of information.   Send us your suggestions for improvements!]]>12/1/2008
By December of 2008, over 150 DNA testing kits had been ordered by Thomas family researchers.  There were 19 groups of matching results.]]>10/14/2003
It was 14 October 2003 when the idea of a Thomas surname DNA project first appeared on the rootsweb.com Thomas surname mailing list.  The ordering of DNA kits began shortly after that, on 25 October 2003.   By the end of the month, over 40 individuals had expressed interest, and 12 had ordered kits.  A web site supporting the project was unveiled on 3 November 2003.  The project grew slowly, with 33 test results published by August 2004, and then up to 83 by April 2006.  ]]>
